Floor Tile Installation Manual
Please read the manual, instruction, guidance and warning carefully before installation.
Large tiles (from size 60x90) should be handled and moved around by suitable suction cups at all times in order to prevent tiles from bending and Tile Leveling should be used to adjust floor tiles level and Spacers should also be utilized to ensure accurate spacing grout.
Using a notched trowel and cement tile adhesive in dry tiling method is more recommended than wet tiling method where mortar is used as an adhesive. Subsidence of mortar is likely to cause unevenness of the surface of each tile, resulting in tiles cracking or separating in the future
In tile cutting, the tile cutter should be longer than the dimension of the tile. Also, choose the right type of a scoring wheel to suit specific hardness and surface texture of each tile.
For electric tile cutters, choose the right blades to suit different levels of hardness of each tile.
Surface Preparation
At construction site, most area is rough surface concrete or masonry. Therefore, its level should be adjusted by mortar in order to be the same level as specified and has smooth surface before installation (+/- 3mm allowance).
The surface must be cleaned and dried .Any cracks or damages must be repaired and leveled prior to tiling.
Tiles should be laid on concrete or cement substrates and surfaces only.
Carefully check the strength of structure and all types of surface before installation.
General Floor Tiles Installation
Mark the starting point of your tile by considering on the position of tile to be appropriate.
During installation, start laying tiles by ensuring the flatness of tiles surface and proper grout lines by drawing a line at all times.
For floor tiles, granite, porcelain tiles there will usually be arrowhead or sign underneath the floor tiles. Follow the directional guidance in tile laying to make sure all tiles are laid out facing the same direction.
According to TIS, the different of tile thickness may vary within 5%.
Do not lay tiles without grouts space (See the table below)

Always clean the surface and grout space of the tile during laying.
Removal of fragments should be done after 1 day completion of most work.
For installation using tile adhesive, allow it to completely set for at least 1 day before grouting.
10. For installation using mortar, allow it to completely set for at least 4 days before grouting.
11. Tile surfaces and grout lines should be properly cleaned prior to grouting.
12. Fill the joints with grout using a trowel to scrape across the joints. Grout needs to be cleaned off intermittently. Do not let grout dry because it is too difficult to clean.
13. Before foot traffic is allowed, leave the grout to set for 1 day and properly clean.
14. For sophisticating laying patterns or any pattern other than a straight lay, consult with designer and specialist before installation.
Instruction:
You may purchase additional tiles for 5% of the total tiles or consult with designer, tiler for proper amount.
Do not paint or use any chemical pen to write on tiles surface.
Warnings
Please check product details on the package such as tones, series, and size before installation. In case of incorrect shades, series and size, please return the product to HomePro at the branch where it is purchased as soon as possible.
Each tile may naturally vary in tones, colors, shades and patterns. It is recommended to randomly use tiles from multiple packages for color balance.
Assess and check the floor surface for unevenness. If the surface is unbalanced, it should be properly leveled and evened prior to installation.
Waterproof underlayment is necessary for wet areas. Consult with specialist before installation.
Allow the leveled floor to dry at least 3-4 weeks before installation.
For installation, in case of using mortar, tiles should be soaked in clean water (do not use brackish water) for 30-45 minutes. In case of using tile adhesive, no need to soak tiles.
Do not use water with acidic/ alkaline/ brackish condition. Only mi
mortar with clean water.
Do not use any acidic/alkaline agent or harsh chemical to clean tiles.
