SANSICO ABS WATER TRAP S1/S2-WT-G-ROutlet size and depth of the floor drain are important in determining the rating of a drain. If the free drainage area of the grating is small, water will build up on the floor, at some point, the head build up above the floor level will produce a flow through the drain that will equal the maximum flow capacity of the horizontal drain line. The maximum recommended flow rating is based upon the size of the drain, size of outlet connection and grate free area. For the Sansico Floor Trap System, a 20mm head buildup of water was used (as per BS EN 1253), and the flow rates obtained are in excess of 84 Litres Per Minute (18.5 GPM) for our S3 model.
