In terms of installation, you should leave a proper spacing between the sink/urinal and the lavatory trap to align with drill holes on the installation walls as the bottle trap level cannot be adjusted later on. Importantly, the bottle trap should be cleaned regularly to prevent dirt, unpleasant odors, insects, and clogging.
The P-shaped trap is easy to install by routing the pipe vertically from the top through the U-Trap then water will be drained horizontally along the pipe. The advantage of a P-trap is that it can prevent unpleasant odors while providing excellent water drainage. Also, the level of the P-trap can be adjusted to suit the installation, making it ideal for installation with sinks, washbasins, and bathtubs. However, the P-trap can't be removed to clean, so in case of any small item falling into the pipe, retrieving it without difficulties seems impossible
There are 3 types of thickness which are thin, medium, and thick. Normally, the thickness of the lavatory trap should not exceed 5.5 inches, the medium-sized traps should be about 8.5 inches and the thick lavatory traps should be more than 8.5 inches. The thicker trap, the better it can withstand water pressure.
